Getting a good scan
Hold steady and let the camera focus before you shoot. Measured against a corpus of thirty documents, focus and steadiness cost more accuracy than anything else — lighting and paper texture barely register, so a dim room is far less of a problem than a moving hand.
If nothing is found at all and the photo looks soft, SheetSnap will say so and suggest trying again.
Some cells are wrong
Tap Start review. SheetSnap marks the cells worth checking and says why — a value that doesn't parse as a number in a column of amounts, or a blank where every other row has data. Tap any cell to correct it; tap Compare original to see that part of the photo.
Recognition works best on printed tables. Handwriting is not something SheetSnap promises to read.
The wrong row is being treated as the header
Use ⋯ → Toggle header row in the editor.
A column came out empty, or two columns merged
Tap the cell that holds both values and split the text by editing it, or delete the spare column. If a page has several tables, use the table chips at the top of the editor to switch between them.
Exports
| Format | Notes |
|---|---|
| Excel (.xlsx) | Merged cells and number formats preserved; header row frozen. Opens in Excel, Numbers and Google Sheets. |
| CSV | UTF-8 with a byte order mark, so Korean text opens correctly in Excel. |
| Clipboard | Tab separated, ready to paste into any spreadsheet. |
Subscriptions
The first three documents are free with every feature available. SheetSnap Pro removes the document limit and is offered monthly or yearly. Manage or cancel in Settings → your name → Subscriptions on your device — deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
Refunds are handled by Apple, through Apple's refund process. Restore purchases is in SheetSnap's own Settings.
Changing the app's language
Settings → Language inside SheetSnap. It applies immediately and is independent of your phone's language.
Privacy
Nothing is collected and nothing is uploaded. Your documents, and the spreadsheets made from them, stay on your device — see the Privacy Policy. That also means deleting the app deletes your documents, so export anything you want to keep first.
